What would cause corrosion in a stainless steel coffee thermos? Heavy metals? - coffee corrosion on metal

Thermal high quality without cracks (damage inside), was used for coffee. What could cause corrosion of stainless steel?

It is possible that corrodes the material on the steel and rust has found a way. It is not necessarily made from solid stainless steel.
